Deren FC Hires Portuguese Coach

Earlier this week it was announced that Mongolian Premier League club Deren FC has hired Portuguese head coach Paulo Jorge Silva to lead the team for the next three season.
The 47-year-old becomes the first Portuguese coach in Mongolian footballing history. He began his career coaching at the academy of German club VFB Stuttgart. From there his coaching career has taken him to eight countries on three continents before landing in Mongolia.
He has also coached in Austria, England, Costa Rica, Nigeria, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. His most recent posts were in China where he lead the academies of Xiapu FC and GY Hongru.
The coach has stated that although Deren FC set the goal of finishing in the top three places for the 2020 season which kicks off in March, his further aim is to win the championship.
Silva is Deren FC's second European coach in the last three. Serb Vojislav Bralušić left prior to the 2019 season to join fellow MPL club Anduud City FC. Deren FC finished in fifth place in the standings last season.
