The teams competing in the 1st League for the 2019 season seem to have been set, with some notable inclusion and omissions.
Western FC, Khovd Club, Soyombiin Baarsuud FC, Khan-Uul FC, Khuree Khovguud, Ulaanbaataryi Mazaalaynuud, and Sumida FC are returning teams which earned neither promotion nor suffered relegation for the 2018 season.
While Gepro FC is back in the league after one season in the Premier League, fellow relegated team Arvis FC is not in the lineup.
DMU FC and Central (Töv) Aimag FC will also compete in the 1st League this season after not competing in the 1st League or Premier League last season. Perhaps one is entering in to fill the spot left by Arvis.
Longtime 1st League club Saryn Gol is also absent after finishing in last place in 2018 with a winless season. They will likely spend 2019 in amateur tier three. Last year's champions Ulaanbaataryi Unaganuud who were a surprise omission from the Premier League when it kicked off last week are also absent from the 1st League field.
The 1st League kicks off its 2019 season on 27 April and concludes on 6 October.
