Goyo FC Rebrands to Anduud City Club for 2018

Fans of Mongolian football may have been confused as they saw Matchday 1's result of Deren FC 1, Anduud City Club 0. Keener-eyed fans also would have noticed that Goyo FC, last year's Premier League newcomers, were absent from the match reports. This is no coincidence as Goyo FC has been rebranded as Anduud City Club beginning the 2018 season.

The new name comes from sponsorship which was part of the major 1,000,000,000 MNT deal announced between the Mazala group and the Mongolian Football Federation earlier this month. The deal also saw the Mongolian Premier League named the Mazala Premier League.

As part of the agreement, scheduled to run through the 2022 season, Anduud City Club will modernize and professionalize the operations of the former Goyo FC, invest in young talent, and bring in more foreign talent.
